Everything is not finding and indexing external hard drives

Hi please can anyone help? Everything program, which I use each day for multiple tasks, is not finding my external hard drives even though they connect with my computer okay and I can use them as normal. None of their files are coming up in the search results. Do you have any suggestions as to what has gone wrong and how it can be fixed? Many thanks in advance.

If anyone has any ideas of any system things I could check i am really at my wits end. I installed and uninstalled older versions of everything no success either way.

Most external drives are not NTFS formatted.
Everything only indexes NTFS volumes.
You can reformat your external drive to NTFS or use Everythings folder indexing option.

All of the external drives in question are formatted NTFS already. It is not finding any external drives. Are there any internal program settings I may have got wrong or something gone wrong with my Windows (which find the drives and their contents?

Please check if the volume is listed in Everything as a NTFS volume and if the volume is included:

• In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the NTFS tab.
• Is the external volume listed?
• If the external volume is listed:
  • Select the external volume.
  • Please make sure Include in database is checked.
  • Click OK.

• In Everything, Press Ctrl + ~ to enable debug mode.
• From the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the indexes tab.
• Click Force Rebuild.

I have encountered the similar problem.It does not work on my ramdisk(NTFS), but the old version(1.2.1.371) works well.
Others, they show different results on C driver.

Please try the Everything 1.4 beta.

Ramdisk detection should work with Everything 1.4.

Can I ask what ramdisk software you are using?

I have used the lastest version, but it does not work.

The RAM disk must be a SCSI disk (Direct-IO disk will not work).
The RAM disk must be formatted with NTFS to use NTFS indexing.
If you wish to use FAT format, you will need to index with foldering indexing.

Please make sure the RAM disk is included in the database:

• In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the NTFS tab.
• Select the RAM disk.
• Check Include in database.
• Click OK.
