Stupid Question

Sorry this is a stupid question

but every time I got back to everything, the search box is empty, I would like to keep the last search and I don't know how to do it, I'm sure it's a config setting, but can't find it .

Is there a way to look at the search history order by date ?

To remember the last search:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Home tab.
• Change Search to: Use last value.
• Click OK.

Is there a way to look at the search history order by date ?

You'll need the latest beta:

• Completely exit Everything.
• Open your %APPDATA%\Everything\Everything.ini
• Change the following line:

  Code: Select all

  search_history_sort_results=1

  to:

  Code: Select all

  search_history_sort_results=2

• Save changes and restart Everything.

Search history can also be browsed (by date) from View -> Go To -> Show All History (with the latest beta).
