Hosting problem?

Post by EricB »

Hi David,

When trying to check http://www.voidtools.com, I get an Oops, that page cannot be found, and pav.com.au homepage (probably the hoster?) is displayed.

Having the same problem, Firefox is telling me that this is an insecure site and blocking it. The problem appears to be with voidtools.com...The address for the forum now seems to be forum.voidtools.com

Still the same, but only for Opera (my preferred browser). When trying to access the site using Edge or IE it works fine. Probably a cache/DNS/proxy/whatever problem?

Possibly edge and IE don't have the same blocking mechanisms...Something about an invalid security certificate althogh I'm not sur why the forum site address has changed.

Same here. Errors:

Firefox: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
Chrome: NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Yerp, that's the one...I could put the site in as an exception but to be on the safe side I'll wait a while as I can access the forums on this address, but not the main voidtool site

Are you trying to force https: ?
Is there even https: here (if so, I've never seen/used it, here)?

Interesting...I had the https everywhere installed so I disabled it and tried again. I still got the error message so on the address, which came up as https I deleted the s, reloaded and it worked reverting to www.voidtools.com.

It's strange tat, 1. it has been working up to now and 2. https is still coming up even though the extension has been disabled

I'm indeed running https Everywhere! It is not necessary to disable it completely, when you click on the "S" icon, you'll be presented with a rule for voidtools.com; if you just uncheck that, and reload the website without https:// prefix, it will work again. Still odd that the https will redirect to a completely different site...

Odd, I put the rule in but it's still coming up https...The difference now is that I can knock the s off and it returns to normal...same as when I disable it entirely.

Actually, it's getting more and more peculiar, some forum pages are working directly whereas other ones are being blocked and I have to knock the s off.

Not really a major problem but a tad annoying!!

voidtools is having hosting trouble. Specifically with the forums and limited server resources.

voidtool's hosting company and I are working on a fix.

Thanks for bringing the SSL certificate issue to my attention, voidtool's hosting company is looking into the issue, will have an update soon.

The correct https SSL certificate should be up now.
