Everything crashes when external USB HD is disconnected

Hello and, before of anything, thank you for your fine, fine work!

To report that Everything crashes when I disconnect an external 4TB USB Hard Disk. When this happened, I got this DMP file:

If I keep the disk disconnected and try to run Everything, it crashes again. Got this second DMP file:

This keep happening until I delete 'everything.db' file and start Everything again, this time without any trouble.

The crash appears to be outside of Everything in ntdll.dll.

Could you please try the following:

• In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
  /allow_ntfs_open_file_by_id=0

Is the crash reproducible now?

I used /allow_ntfs_open_file_by_id=0 in the search box but nothing happened.

After typing in the search /allow_ntfs_open_file_by_id=0 and pressing ENTER, you should see /allow_ntfs_open_file_by_id=0 in the status bar for a couple seconds to confirm the operation.

Yes, this happens but Everything does not crash.

Well, I didn't know if the search was expected to make Everything crash again or was something to modify Everything behavior so when I disconnect disks it does not crashes anymore. I had 2 disks connected and when I pulled the cables Everything didn't crash.

Hi again, Void.

Trying to connect the same external disk, I got a couple of crashes but eventually Everything started correctly. Here's the crashes dumps.

Thanks for the dmp files.

The crash appears to occur when freeing excludes.

Are you using any regex: excludes?
