Re: DrMusti Everything Search Addon FF later Chrome
i finished FF and chrome addons )))
Re: DrMusti Everything Search Addon FF later Chrome
IIRC: Since a year or so Firefox only allows signed extensions. You have to sign your code to be able to upload it to Mozilla.drmusti wrote:this is not adding favorite. this is firefox extention( addon ) but i dont know that "how upload to firefox dev".

If you mean how to upload your XPI to the voidtools forum: only graphic files (jpg, bmp, ..) and zip files are allowed.
So: Zip your XPI or change the extension from .XPI to .XPI.ZIP and you can upload it to these forums (an XPI is already a zipped file in itself, so you don't have to compress it a second time).
FYI: In the near future (don't know an exact date) Firefox will change it's plugin structure. The XUL based XPI structure will be deprecated in favor of the extension layout Chrome and Opera are using. All this bcause of security.
BTW: Nice work!
i must add ff addon and chrome addon to theirs web store or dev sections..

Re: DrMusti Everything Search Addon FF and Chrome Completed but....
I'll note...
Works in SeaMonkey if you run it through the Add-on Converter for SeaMonkey.
I'll suppose the es: "protocol" option still needs to be enabled in Everything.
(Tools | Options -> General => URL protocol)
There is a 'Search with Everything' button (that you can drag out of Customize) that looks to be ineffectual - in SeaMonkey.
(It does work in FF.)
The extension is not signed, so that makes it a no-go for most (FF) users.
(There are work-arounds, currently, i.e. FF 55, to allow non-signed extensions.)
(SeaMonkey does not require signing.)
(As noted XUL extensions are [essentially] dead in FF. FF, come FF 57, only allowing webextension extensions.
"Security", heh .)
(You've left DOISearch(1).rar in there, not that it matters.)
Is there any benefit to the extension over the bookmarklet?
