Is there a way to search for files in Acronis True Image backup images?

No, Everything can not search a Acronis True Image backup image.

Is there a way to mount a acronis backup image?

You might like to try creating a file list for offline searching.

With ATI installed on PC it is possible to mount backup image file as a drive.
