Remember external (USB) drives?

Post by boowho »

I have unchecked the checkbox within the NTFS options.

But the program still won't remember my 4 bay USB 3 drive box and re-indexes every time I turn it on. Box has about 19 terabytes total for Everything is pretty important to me.

Thanks

Actually is is. I forgot I'd previously posted.

Sorry; I'm pretty old and memory starting to fail sometimes.

STILL and issue. I thought that checking the option fixed it, but apparently not

How are you indexing your 4 bay USB 3 drive box? -Is the drive listed under Tools -> Options -> NTFS or Tools -> Options -> Folders?

Please make sure Include new fixed volumes and new removable volumes is unchecked:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab on the left.
  • Uncheck Automatically include new fixed volumes.
  • Uncheck Automatically include new removable volumes.
  • Uncheck Automatically remove offline volumes.
  • Click the ReFS tab on the left.
  • Uncheck Automatically include new fixed volumes.
  • Uncheck Automatically include new removable volumes.
  • Uncheck Automatically remove offline volumes.
  • Click OK.
