Hits include non-existent fies?

Post by terrypin »

Error message, '...cannot find the file..'
Not surprising, as the only time I ever see drive F: is when I insert a USB stick!
How does this hit occur?

If your F: drive is shown in the Options under Indexes > NTFS, it is likely 'caused' by the Automatically remove offline volumes setting. If unchecked, your F:-drive will be kept in Everything's index, even when not connected.

If your F: drive is shown in the Options under Indexes > Folders, then this is to be expected. Off-line folders are kept in the index.
