Open folder within everything

Can't find a setting to open a folder within everything instead of file explorer. Does this exist?

You can drag a folder to the search bar to limit results to that folder.

To enable dragging to the search bar, type the following in the search bar and press ENTER:

Code: Select all

/search_edit_drag_accept_files=1

Everything 1.5 introduces a Folders Sidebar, which might be helpful for you.

1.5 also has; context-menu, Parent Folder -> Search in Everything (or hold down Ctrl to have the search open in a new window).

I can't see the 'Search in Everything' option.

Yeah I just don't have that option... Instead of 'Parent folder' it has the name of the parent folder and no 'Searching in everything' option in that drop menu.

Ok. Do I have to manually reinstall every time? Because Check for Updates says everything is up to date.

From version 1307a on, Everything 1.5 will check for updates.
Not sure if that is automatic after enabling Check for updates on startup ( under Menu:Tools > Options > General ), but you can always check manually using Menu:Help > Check for Updates...


Or ... visit these forums regularly as it will be posted if there is a new update.

I forgot to post the update notifications for 1310a.
I will post an update notification for the next alpha update (soon).
