I make changes to my partitions sometimes, and drive letters change as well.
Everything now finds many search results multiple times. But only one is correct.
Only one fits, the others are dead links and refer to the old partition letter, which is no longer valid.
Reading in the database again help neither, nor does ending everything and deleting the *.db
So what can I do to stop these multiple search results popping up?
Duplicate search results
Re: Duplicate search results
To have Everything automatically remove old or offline volumes from your index:
To manually remove an offline volume:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the NTFS tab on the left.
- Check Automatically remove offline volumes.
- Click OK.

Re: Duplicate search results
Thank you for your prompt reply
Had already found something here by searching, which also led me to your solution.
There must have been a dozen offline drives.
Which ones are from hard disks that have been switched off or changed using the HDD power switch, and which ones are from hard disks that have long since disappeared.
Now everything is "clean"
