Search results not displayed correctly and not accessible

Results from a query seem to be posting to the gray bar at the bottom of the app or as a preview instead of listing details (as selected) in the window. I've attached screenshots of both types of errors for reference.

Please help - I use this app a million times a day.

FYI - I work for a school district and am unable to denistall/reinstall without contacting the helpdesk. They did try a deinstall/reinstall for me today before I submitted this message to the forum.

Not sure what caused that, particularly.

But you could try the hammer approach...

With Everything closed, make a backup of, then rename the existing Everything.ini file to Everything_old.ini.

Restart Everything.

Everything should load, with all default settings.

You can then compare the file you backed up to the default Everything.ini (to see what might have gone wrong, or to re-implement setting changes you may have made).


(That's the hammer approach. Others may have other ideas...)

Your preview takes up the entire Everything window.
Move your cursor to the left side until you see a <--> cursor.
Now start dragging the preview pane to the right.

Oh my gosh...that simple solution worked. I can't believe it never occurred to me that could've happened. Doesn't explain the first screenshot, but thank you, thank you, thank you!
