I have to break some application dll files(of 360safe which was installed by administrator) to avoid censorship.
However, Everything complains on every start.
"Exclude files/folders" does not solve this problem.
Please fix this.
Thanks.
Ignore broken files
Re: Ignore broken files
When is the dialog shown?
eg: on startup without doing anything?
when you open the search window
when you open a folder or file?
I wonder if this is caused by a icon shell extension..
Please try disabling icon shell extensions:

Please try disabling icon shell extensions:
- Copy as paste the following into the Everything search box:
/icon_shell_extensions=0 - Press ENTER in the Everything search box.
- If successful, icon_shell_extensions=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
Re: Ignore broken files
Are you using the Everything service or are you running it As Administrator?
Re: Ignore broken files
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the General tab on the left.
- Check Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything.
- Uncheck Run as administrator.
- Check Everything Service. (Please make sure this is tick-checked and not square-checked)
- Click OK.
- Exit Everything (right click the Everything tray icon and click Exit).
- Restart Everything.
Re: Ignore broken files
Sorry for the late reply.
Startup of Everything without doing anything shows this error.
Re-installation of Everything in standard user mode seems help. But I cannot test this issue further, because I found a way to uninstall the 360safe.
Thank you all!
