Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Ctrl-P is the default hotkey for the Options screen
and still works fine here in the actual Everything 1.5
Your shortcuts will not change by itself.
What did you change or update ?

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Actually I would say nothing (intentionally). Sorry, I do not have any idea what happened. Why is there STRG+P shown next to "Options" when it opens a new window? What did you change or update ?
Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Did you change your Windows input to a German keyboard?

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
STRG = Ctrl in German.
There's no STRG text in Everything.
Everything is pulling this keyboard key name from Windows.

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Windows is reporting your keyboard Ctrl key name as STRG. (not Everything)
Please make sure your Windows keyboard settings are set correctly.

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
OK, how could I do it? And regarding what settings? Please make sure your Windows keyboard settings are set correctly.
I just remember some strange changes with some search options in Firefox, suddenly Amazon was the default serach engine and switched to englisch. About at the same time the shortcut changed in Everything, I guess. Could there be a connection?
Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Click the language text (eg: ENG) in the system tray and make sure your keyboard input is set correctly:
Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Ah, OK, that cannot have changed, I would have noticed it, because y would then be swapped with z.
Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Please try focusing Everything and checking your keyboard input is set correctly as above.
Each program can have independent settings.
Please try restarting Everything.

Sorry, I cannot find such icon (ENG) in that tray.
I assume, I cannot use this command to close Everything after having made changes(?):
/exit-now

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
What does your system tray look like?
The text will be different for your locale. (maybe NLD? DEU?)
Have you turned off your language bar?
Press Windows logo key + I, to open Settings.
Click on Devices and select Typing on the left pane.
Click on Advanced keyboard settings.
Click on Language bar options.
Select the checkbox for Show additional Language bar icons in the taskbar and Show text labels on the Language bar.
Please don't use /exit-now
You will lose all changes to your settings and data.

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Many thanks!
Very sorry, I cannot find any of those (even with German instructions) in this ugly OS.
May be such options are missing because here is no language pack available / there is not additional language downloaded here, sorry actually there should not even be anything to switch to:
I guess, I just leave it as it is. May be sometime it will work again (or not), at least the mouse still works, you can't really ask for more.
Sorry for the trouble!
Thank you very much!

If the issue persists, please disable system key names:
- Copy and paste the following into your Everything search box:
/get_key_name_text=0 - Press ENTER in your Everything search box.
- If successful, get_key_name_text=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
Suddenly this is shown:
When I enter
/get_key_name_text=0 + ENTER
this is shown:
/get_key_name_text=1 shows what the first photo shows.

/get_key_name_text=0 + ENTER

Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
You may need to restart Everything after changing get_key_name_text.
If get_key_name_text=1 works for you, keep it enabled.
get_key_name_text=1 is the default.
When get_key_name_text is disabled (get_key_name_text=0), Everything will not lookup keyboard key names from the system and just use internal English names for keys.

Yes, OK, but it doesn't.If get_key_name_text=1 works for you, keep it enabled.
So when whatever has changed and caused the problem changes back to the state before the old shortcuts would not work anymore (with get_key_name_text=0?, like it is now)? When get_key_name_text is disabled (get_key_name_text=0), Everything will not lookup keyboard key names from the system and just use internal English names for keys.
Re: Suddenly obviously all of my shortcuts have changed, STRG+P (instead of F10) opens a new window
I'm not sure what has changed.
My guess is your keyboard driver.
Please try disabling get_key_name_text and restarting Everything:

So actually I already should have restarted the computer, maybe then it works again. My guess is your keyboard driver.
Does this save the db and / or the settings? Why not click "Exit"? Obviously it does, still running. Will take some time.Copy and paste the following into your Everything search box:
/restart
