Whilst it's nice that MS is getting with the times, the current iteration is worse than I had with clover on windows vista. My main bugbear is that it doesn't capture new window instances so you still end up with a bunch of explorer windows
Previously I used qttabbar for my tabs and listary for the quick switch and middle-click folder access (which was slightly nuts as it used a load of memory and doubled up on everything functionality).
My options:
find a way to get the tabbed window to capture new window instances (unlikely I think)
disable the new tabs and go back to qttabbar
find a new browser that doesn't look like it was designed in the xp era and has every bit of information you could ever want vomited up into it's UI
(I've tried some of the commanders & q-dir and they don't work with my brain).
ANy suggestions?

I don't see the Everything related point in your post ?
If I sometimes use Explorer I don't get many Explorer windows using tabs.
The tabs stay in the same Window.
Using QAP I even get my favorite folders into the actual tab of the current Explorer
Btw. I'm normaly not use Explorer but Total Commander or XYplorer.

yes its a bit off-topic
Someone mentioned in a thread that one of the alternatives integrates well with everything. I forget which one, and tried and failed to find the thread
