Everything not seeing a hard disk

Hello, I bought a replacement for an external hard disk, a Seagate expansion HDD 1TB.
I installed it and the computer (Windows 10) sees the disk just fine, and I have added data to it and used it, it works just fine.

Now my problem. Everything does not see the disk. It sees any other external hard disk that I add (to test) but not this one.
That is crazy.

What have I tried (when changing the drives I first safely removed them)

Changed the usb port several times, not seen.
Changed the drive letter from F: to H: , not seen
Exchanged the 2 external hard disks with each other, not seen.

I have never seen this before and do not know what else to do.
Maybe someone knows how to test this problem better?

Everything will automatically index NTFS volumes.

To add your non-NTFS volume to your Everything index:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Folders tab.
• Click Add....
• Select your external drive (for example: H:) and click OK.
• Click OK.

NTFS volumes are listed under Tools -> Options -> NTFS

Yes, so as I said that was the problem, the new external hard disk was formatted with exFAT (1T). I had thought that all new disks used NTFS, that is the most modern format.

SO it is important to check the formatting when buying an external hard disk. I can image that they do that, they have their reasons for. Sometimes the exFAT is better for external hard disks.

I have saved the data from the disk, formatted the disk with NTFS, and returned the data to the disk! Everything working perfect.

We are never too old to learn it seems, I am a retired systems engineer 82 years old, and going strong!
