Indexes, Include in database, Deselect leaves Enable USN Journal enabled

Indexes, Include in database,
when you Deselect a volume,
it leaves Enable USN Journal enabled (where Load recent changes & Monitor changes grays out).

Is there any significance to that?

As in, if Include in database is deselected,
should one then manually (also) deselect, Enable USN journal?

The USN Journal is maintained by the NTFS driver (not Everything)

On Windows Vista+, all NTFS volumes have a USN Journal by default.

The USN Journal can be enabled or disabled and the size of the journal can be changed, even when you are not indexing the volume.

Other programs can use the USN Journal.
