Not Dash With Path !C:/TMP/X-99/

I've got:

Code: Select all

C:\Local\CLEAN-0108\drive\C\TMP\X-99\
C:\TMP\X-99\
> x-98, finds them both

But if I:

> !C:/TMP/X-99/

it does not not find it (IOW it is still found)

OK, so I have to drop the trailing /

> !C:/TMP/X-99

And that works.

Guess I'll have to read through, more carefully, some posts to figure why that is?

So the dash (-) is not the issue.
I'm just not understanding the (expected) syntax.

The colon and trailing backslash must be included in the full path.

For example, searching for C:/TMP/X-99/ will not match the folder C:/TMP/X-99.
C:/TMP/X-99 does not include a trailing backslash in the full path.
