Everything is a wonderful tool to index all my files.
It's hard to imagine my working days without it.
But every time I turn my computer on, I have to wait a long time for its startup, much of it because of the Rebuild feature.
So, I ask a way to avoid such rebuild on startup. Is it possible?
When I turn the computer off, all the files that was already indexed by Everything are there, until the next turn on. So, no needs to rebuilt all of it again, every single time...
Am I missing something? Is the whole Rebuid really necessary?
Thx.

Re: Rebuild at sartup - Avoiding it.
Might it be a permissions issue that is causing it?
Do you have sufficient permissions to the Everything install directory & the files therein?

Re: Rebuild at sartup - Avoiding it.
I don't think so. Yes, I have Administrator privileges to install Everything and such. In fact, I'm using XP SP3 and just one user.
I suspect the delay on startup is caused by Everything because I try to search a file and it returns nothing while the HD's led is on and at status bar it states "Scanning [drive]", where drive is my local ones. When it finishes its rebuild, the search returns that file.
