Everytime I need to search, its updating database.
Is there a way to schedule these updates or not do them as often? I need to have quick access to my file without having to wait 5 minutes for it to update everything.

In Everything 1.5 the updates will be processed in the background when Everything is started.
That means that Everything 1.5 is ready for your searches right from the start.
In Everything 1.4 - which you are using, I presume - you can enable Start Everything on system startup to let Everything run in the backround and process all updates.
This setting can be found under Menu:Tools > Options > General.
