Dropbox options in context menu when multiple files selected. Windows 11

If the context menu is opened from Everything when only one file is selected, then the Dropbox menu options are displayed.
But if you select more than one file, then there are no Dropbox options in the context menu.
There is no such problem in the windows explorer, even with classic context menu

Everything 1.5.0.1327a fixes an issue with missing context menu items when multiple items are selected.

Everything doesn't have support for the newer Windows 11 menu items yet.

I have put this on my TODO list.

I wonder if it's possible to install the legacy Dropbox menu items?

These missing Dropbox menu items are working for me on Windows 10, but not on Windows 11...

are the entries shown when using SHIFT+rightclick

Unfortunately, Shift + right click, Shift + F10, Windows context menu key and right clicking will all give the same context menu.

I am working on some possible solutions..

For me that works, I can select multiple files in the results and get the applicable context menu entries.
I have enabled the classic context menus, so that may be the reason.

Maybe the reason is one of the latest windows updates because a month ago everything worked fine

I forgot to make a note here..

Everything 1.5.0.1329a should now show the correct context menu items for files/folders in the same location.

Some Windows 11 context menu items may still be missing if you select files/folders in different locations.

At some point, it stopped working again, it seems the problem is not only with Windows 11, many colleagues on Win10 have the same issue.
In version 1.5.0.1358a:
with filelist_context_menu option enabled, there is no Dropbox context menu if the objects are located in different folders.
With single_parent_context_menu option enabled, the menu appears, but only affects files located in the same folder as the file for which it was called.
The problem concerns only filelists, there is no such issue in the Everything search output.

This is a limitation with Everything. (and Windows)

The DropBox context menu items will not be available for items from different locations.

Windows Explorer doesn't show the dropbox context menu if you perform a * search from c:\users\<your-user-name>\dropbox\Dropbox

The context menu was only designed for one folder.

Everything and Windows construct a "virtual folder" to create a context menu for items in multiple locations.
Unfortunately, this virtual folder is not compatible with the DropBox context menu items.



Do you only see the dropbox context menu items for multiple items when single_parent_context_menu is enabled?

Strange the dropbox context menu works from the normal search..
Have you enabled context_menu_focus_simple_pidl or context_menu_simple_pidl?
(I couldn't get the dropbox context menu to work my end)
