Hi --
I am new to Everything--have downloaded and installed--and opened the program but having some problems getting it to do what I want to do--I am sure its my lack of experience with it and basic syntax problems--The program does run and search and finds files and folders--I have been through the help topics and manual but can't seem to get it focused.
First I have an external drive F --I want to only search that drive--expect there are two ways -- syntax and open the drive in w7 the open everything but cant seem to get it to work--now my searches run on both the C and F drives
My F drive has about .7 gig of raster maps with many nested folders and some mapsets on the root as well.
The search I want to do is for all folders with folder names ending in _MI -- thats underscore upper case M uppercase I
That is the state abbreviation for Michigan and ultimately I need to do searches for other states with that same form--I want to exclude lower case mi and any fileor folder names that contain mi embedded.
One specific problem--i type F:\ in the search box and enter and program yields those characters in quotes - don't understand what this means and cant get program to search from that result.
I would appreciate any help-and I am happy to work through the solution if there is a guide or set of examples in a little more depth than the FAQ and help file.
