Win8.1 Everything not in Systray

I have a clean build of Win8.1 Pro x64 and have installed Everything 1.3.3.658 x64 however Everything is not appearing in my Systray as it did with Win7 or on my Win8.0 laptop. I checked and Everything is running as a service. If I start Everything via the start menu it scans all of my drives (all seven) before presenting any results, this of course takes several seconds. On my Win8.0 laptop I see Everything in the systray and when I open a new search window from the systray it is almost instant. I've compared all of the option settings on the two systems and I cannot see any difference. I'm open for suggestions.
