New search "pre-scrolled"

An oddity in the search interface:
if you enter a search which produces more than one window of results, and scroll down the list,
then if you enter a new search which also produces more than one window of results

then Everything 1.2.1.371 starts the display of the new results "pre-scrolled" down to where it was left on the previous search.

While there is clearly some rationale to this behavior, I'd propose that every new search should be first displayed as "new", ie scrolled all the way up. It is really confusing to come back to Everything, enter a new search, and see only results begining by letter z....

This is a "feature". It knows where you 'really' wanted to start....

Try this one (note that it is an alpha level and you may find some new problems) and see if that helps. I have been using it for a while now and it seems stable:
