I've followed the directions to add a mapped drive as a folder, but after several hours, it has not yet mapped a 57GB network share.
My question is, how long should I wait? The network is very fast normally, so I'm wondering if some behind-the-scenes issue with our Panzura file server is causing slow or no performance.
Mapped Drive Scan Is Slow
Re: Mapped Drive Scan Is Slow
Several hours is very long ...
Maybe try a sub- folder first - like "x:\folder1\small folder" - to see if there are connectivity issues?
Don't know Panzura file server, but does it create a virtual filesystem or are the files visible in a CMD box (dir x:\folder1) as well?

Re: Mapped Drive Scan Is Slow
You're calling it a "network share".
Is it actually a network share aka something physically attached (or so), like via a LAN?
Or is it something in the cloud? Where it has to go to the stars to get its data?
