Hello there,
i have the following problem: I am working on my PC with a normal user account without Administrator privileges. Is there any way known to start Everything with Administrators privileges without having to authenticate every time it starts?
I tried the solution suggested in the FAQs, but that did not work properly, because it would start Everything under the Administrators account without giving me a GUI. I just can see it running in the Task Manager, but have no access to it.
Nearly every other solution i found would just get rid of UAC dialogs, which are not my problem anyways.
Best regards,
Julius
edit:
almost forgot: My system is Windows 7 64-bit.
Privilege problem (not UAC)
Re: Privilege problem (not UAC)
Nearly 14 days and no answer ..... i guess it cannot be done .... too bad.
Re: Privilege problem (not UAC)
Unfortunately, "Everything" must run under an administrative account.
Re: Privilege problem (not UAC)
Just as a suggestion: Wouldn't it be possible to divide Everything into a service part and a GUI part? So the service could be run with Administrative rights and the GUI could be started by everyone.
That would solve all UAC / Priviledge problems i guess.

Yes, that is the plan for the next release.Wouldn't it be possible to divide Everything into a service part and a GUI part?
