I've just downloaded v.1.4.1.771b and replaced my old version of the everything .exe file. I can't see any of the changes in the programme that are listed on the change log (such as 'disable recent changes' etc).
Could this be because I'm not installing from scratch but just updating the executable?
Also, I originally installed the 64 bit version, is it possible to replace the 64 bit .exe file with the x86 .exe (to save memory)

Re: 1.4.1.771b changes not appearing
Recent changes has been replaced with date modified in Everything 1.4.1.
You can search and sort by date modified instantly. (dm: instead of rc:)
recent changes can be enabled from Tools -> Options -> Indexes -> Index recent changes.
I'm thinking I need to have Everything use dm: internally when rc: is specified and recent changes is disabled.

Yes, you can replace your Everything.exe with the x86 version, and yes, the x86 version will use less memory.Is it possible to replace the 64 bit .exe file with the x86 .exe (to save memory)

Thanks, , how about ...option to never show thumbnails, always icons
If the .ini file is altered by void will the executable, when run, update the .ini file?

Yes, Everything will use the system setting from Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options... -> View -> Always show icons, never thumbnails.Thanks, , how about ...option to never show thumbnails, always icons
There's also the Everything.ini option: icons_only
0 = use system setting (default setting)
1 = Icons only
2 = thumbnails
The Everything.ini is overwritten when you exit Everything.If the .ini file is altered by void will the executable, when run, update the .ini file?
Always exit Everything before changing your Everything.ini.

Sorry, what I mean is...If you (voidtools) update and include new ini settings will the settings be changed from the new executable or would I have to reinstall the latest version to get a new ini file?
Re: 1.4.1.771b changes not appearing
Most settings will be carried over to the newer versions.
So most your settings from 1.3 will work in Everything 1.4.
