Everything locking Excluded disks

I have external USB disks which are used for backup.
After performing backup, as I try to eject, I note that the utility I use (Zentimo xStorage Manager) reports that the disk is locked by Everything; it takes a little while until I can actually eject the disk.
Some delay would be no surprise, except that this happens with disks that are listed under Excluded folders in Everything Options > Indexes > Exclude (like R:\).

The disk will still be included if it is a NTFS volume and "Include in database" is checked, please try unchecking "Include in database" for this NTFS volume:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the NTFS tab.
• Select the R: drive
• Uncheck Include in database.
• Click OK.

If the problem persists, please try the Everything 1.4 beta, as it fixes some issues with holding on to volume handles, blocking safely remove device from ejecting a drive:
