Everything is hanging up trying to index my backup drive. I don't want it indexed. How do I do this. I just want my c: drive indexed for files and folders.

To have Everything index only your C: drive:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the NTFS tab on the left.
- Uncheck Automatically index fixed NTFS volumes.
- Uncheck Automatically index removable NTFS volumes.
- Select your D: drive (where D: is your backup drive) and uncheck Include in database.
- Click OK.
