It seems I used to be able to type any part of any word in the file name in any order including the extension and it would find the files. This made it real easy to limit my search to say .doc* or .ppt* files - especially when I could only remember part of the file name.
Now it seems it only finds names if I type them in the order of the file name. So putting an extension too early makes the search results empty.
I'm not sure when this started but another change I've made recently is to add a hard drive that's attached to my router so that drive is not indexed as NTFS but rather Tools > Options > Indexes > Folders. Would that cause the change?
I'm using version 1.4.1.935 (x64) on Windows 10 and it happened on the version I was using before I upgraded also.
Search doesn't work like it used to
Re: Search doesn't work like it used to
Most likely cause for this behaviour is that you enabled one or more of the "search modifiers", like Match Path or Enable Regex.
If you go to Menu:Search and make sure only "Everything" is enabled, do you get your expected results?

Re: Search doesn't work like it used to
That solved it. Thank you so much!
