How can I "undo" after rename?

Post by peachfuzz »

I mistakenly pasted a wrong name for the file. :x Now, I can't remember the other name. How can I undo this (ctrl-z)?

Everything does not have an undo feature.

An undo feature is in development.

If you have not exited Everything, the original filename is in your Everything.db

To recover the original name from your Everything.db, please try the db2efu tool:
  • Run db2efu.
  • Select your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Everything\Everything.db
  • Choose a filename for your efu file list
  • Open this efu file list with notepad or Everything to find the original filename.
