Problems with command line interface (es.exe)

Dear All,

Today I found out there is a command line interface to Everything (i.e., es.exe) and gave it a try.
However, I got the following error messages:

E:\Tools\Everyhing>es
Everything IPC service not running

E:\Tools\Everyhing>es -r test
Everything IPC service not running
=======================================
I am currently using the portable version (ver. 1.2.1.371) on Windows 7 (64bit) and the everything.exe is running and appears on my system tray.

Of course, I searched this forum and googled to find anything related with this problem, but it seems that there is no clear answer.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated in this regard.

Do you have the Everything.exe running? You need to have it running for es.exe to work.

u need to run this exe as an adminitrator.
