Searching images > Results thumbnails covered up by "result" icon

I've had this problem for about a year, after over a year of not having this problem.

Whenever I search for an image, with thumbnail view (of any scale), many of the results are covered by a blank page looking icon. Any way I can get that resolved?

One other question - my everything seems to be "always on top" recently. When I click on windows behind it, they do not come up in front of everything until I manually minimize everything. Sorry for two topics in 1 thread - can repost issue 2 if that is preferred.

Love Everything and recommend it to people all the time.

You probably pressed Ctrl-T accidentally. To undo this: Menu:View > On Top > Never

Can't help you with your thumbnail question.

Please try the latest nightly build of Everything.

Version 906 and later should fix this issue with overlay icons.

This should be fixed in the next alpha update.


For now, please try disabling overlay icons in Everything:

• Copy and paste the following into the Everything search box:
  /thumbnail_overlay_icon=0
• Press ENTER in the Everything search box.
• If successful, thumbnail_overlay_icon=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.

I tried that, and after restarting Everything the icon overlays are now gone

Everything 1.5.0.1316a will no longer treat overlay icon index 0 as valid.
