i have 2 drives, C and D. ET used to do both wonderfully. then recently, it stopped doing C and only did D. i've tried re-installing, 32 bit vs. 64 bit, trying different settings (toggling the service, run as admin, etc. etc), nothing has worked.
today, i used /debug_log and generated logs for indexing two cases: only D and then only C to see what the diffs were. here's what i found:
for only C, i see this:
2023-02-09 10:45:28.210: ntfs index: 0 folders, 0 files
whereas for only D, i see:
2023-02-09 10:43:34.878: ntfs index: 91731 folders, 568904 files
and then a bunch of "multithreaded sort" lines, that i don't see in the C case at all.
i don't see any diffs before that. they both have 1 error like this:
CreateFileW(): GetLastError(): 5: Failed to open volume \\?\Volume{removed for privacy}
so, what could be going on here?
suddenly, ET stops indexing C: drive :(
Re: suddenly, ET stops indexing C: drive :(
Do you get the same problem with Everything 1.5?
Re: suddenly, ET stops indexing C: drive :(
The Everything Service is most likely not running.
Please make sure Everything is installed correctly and running as a standard user:

i will try void's steps next.

There might be a drive issue.stuck on 33%.
Please check your drives for errors:
- Please backup anything important on your drive before checking it for errors.
- In Windows Explorer, right click your drive and click Properties.
- Click the Tools tab.
- Click Check now...
- Click Start
- If prompted to schedule a scan on the next restart, click Yes.
