Custom properties rating

I have come to Everything 1.5 just recently. I am thrilled such a fine piece of software is available.

I have searched for an answer but cannot find what I'm looking for.

I have audio files with a tag which I can't find looking through Properties. Is it possible to somehow 'make' Everything find and index this tag? The tag is 'Popularimeter' as shown by exiftool.

The Rating property in Everything will show the ID3 Popularimeter (or POPM) tag.

Right click the result list column header and Add columns.
Search for: rating
Select Rating a click OK.

Thanks for that. My audio manager saves ratings for mp3 as popularimeter but m4a as 'rating percent' (according to exiftool). Is there any way to view/index this 'rating percent'?

.flac & .ogg files' rating saved as 'rating' according to exiftool. I cannot seem to access this tag either.

Everything will try to gather the rating from the system.

Is Windows Explorer showing the rating for these files?
-you should see the same in Everything.



Could you please send a m4a, flac and ogg file with a rating to support@voidtools.com and I will look into adding native support for these.
(please send each file separately)
My guess is they are using ID3? as there's no official way to store rating in these files.

Thanks again for your help. I guess my question really was, Can Everything 1.5 display/index custom or unknown Properties? I guess the answer is no.

I'll send you the files requested when I get the chance. But the more I learn about metadata tags in files, the less I think trying to accommodate all huge number of variations is sensible.

Added the following Vorbis Comment (flac and ogg) properties:

• Album Artist
• Artist
• Comment
• Composer
• Copyright
• Date Released
• Genre
• Rating
• Software
• Title
• Track
• Vorbis Comment
• Year

The Vorbis Comment property will show all available key/value pairs (including properties not listed above).



Added the following QuickTime Metadata (m4a) properties:

• Album
• Album Artist
• Artist
• Comment
• Composer
• Copyright
• Date Released
• Genre
• QuickTime Metadata
• Rating
• Software
• Title
• Track

The QuickTime Metadata property will show all available key/value pairs (including properties not listed above).
