> 20 minutes to show files
every time I right click and select 'search everything' in the context menu, it takes more than 20 minutes for any files to show!! it has to scan every one of the three 2TB drives over again despite using the index and everything!! it STILL insists on rescanning ALL drives EVERY TIME I use everything!! how do I get it to not do this?? I DON'T have time to wait 20 minutes before I can type in a search term!!
Re: > 20 minutes to show files
1. You can check "Start Everything on system startup" option, so 20 minutes after startup, you'll always have realtime access to files.
2. You can also uncheck "Include in database" for heavy drives or exclude heavy folders that aren't useful to you.

What version of Everything are you running?
See if v1.3.3.658b works any better for you.

Such messages should not get any help at all !Alduin's Khajiit wrote:YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FUCKING HELP ME WITH MY FUCKING PROBLEM ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????????????????????????
You did not post any configuration info at all.
You may not have the necessary rights on your Everything database location so it has to scan and not using the NTFS journal.
So change you behaviour and add more information or stop posting

Is it only the context menu based search that is slow?
If it is then you might try:
- ShellExView
- Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers
- Removing unwanted Explorer context menu items with ShellExView
