I sent the 64 bit installer to virustotal and got a hit for ransomware.

Can this be explained\resolved?

According to your link, "No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious".
The hash of the upload, 793ad39e3ce2f8422bf7a11118b00ee0006f48ac1f6212c42780725be236df1d, & the SHA256 hash listed on the https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/ page also agree.
So what you downloaded, what you sent to VirusTotal, & the expected hashes from the SHA256 all agree, & with no A/V flagging the file in any manner, I don't see any issue.
(Oh, BTW, we're talking about, Everything-1.4.1.1015.x64-Setup.exe, here.)

There will "always" be some scanners that flag any program as malware. Have only seen a couple of programs that weren't flagged as malware by some obscure scanner.
However ....
The link you posted shows this:
Which looks OK to me
What did you download (full filename) and where did you download it from?
