Rename (Shift+F2), where Pasted data includes / (fwd-slash)

Post by therube »

Everything - Rename (Shift+F2)

if you paste in a name that includes / (fwd-slash)
- unable, path not found

& then the attempt is quashed
i.e., no option to modify...

(i assume that the /, or if it were \, would attempt to name/move kind of thing [depending on pref settings]?)

Thanks for the issue report therube,

I will make the advanced rename not close on error when nothing has been renamed.

The dialog will have to be closed on error once a single item is renamed.
Things will break if you attempt to rename again after a partial rename.

If the advanced rename made one change with an error:
Undo the last advanced rename from View -> Undo and then retry your advanced rename.
