Hi there!
I am writing because I recently discovered this wonderful tool. I have been looking for something like this for ages.
I work in a LAN server-client environment. The thing is that I created and ETP/FTP server on the server end and I connected to the server in the client machine but I cannot access the folders and files that Everything shows it has found. I think that the problem has to do with how is the path displayed on the client machine.
In the server machine I search for the XXX directory and in the results window this is what I see:
Name Path
XXX D:\
But in the client machine when I search for the XXX director, this is what I see:
Name Path
XXX \\Server\D
And when I double click XXX on the client machine Windows reports that the path "\\Server\D" does not exist.
Can anyone help me sort this out?
Thanks a million,
JC
Issues accessing remote drive
Re: Issues accessing remote drive
"Everything" 1.2.1.371 uses fixed network paths.
You will have to share the C: drive on the server as C, D: drive as D, etc..
Or, you might like to try the latest alpha "Everything" version 1.2.1.442a which uses the admin shares C$,D$,etc...
